What would change in society and the church if images of God were female?

Probably none. Except for many women suffrage rights and the time which they occurred.

I already believe that God is a female.
It makes more sense because females are the givers of life.
And yes if everyone thought that then women would get the respect they deserve

I’d say women would have been more respected. And there would be more women priests

Thats why I like having a God and Goddess.

Thats almost like asking “does the image of the Virgin Mary change your life”. Its not like it’s a bad thing.

I bet you for a week out of the month, men would start being nicer to God…and staying out of her way.

If God where female, guys wouldn’t dare blame her for the state of the world during that time of the month…as a matter of fact, men would probably stop blaming God altogether because they would know it would be futile. You can’t win in an argument with a woman.

    Sorry about that.

If suddenly all the images in church where female…I think it would cause a huge upset in the church. People would stop going to church, including the women. Christianity stresses the importance of men…most likely, people would probably think the devil did it and brought the Goddess into their midst, ruining the sanctity of the church.

I am speaking more about Protestant churches though. Catholics might have a much easier time with it.

    *edit*

BTW, I believe in a God and Goddess. I am just entertaining the concept of your question. :)
